Chanukah light's for Ari, too

The memory of slain yeshiva student Ari Halberstam brought politicians,
including Sen. Hillary Clinton and former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, to
Brooklyn on the first night of Chanukah.
Clinton, Giuliani and Mayor Bloomberg were part of a menorah-lighting
ceremony at the new Jewish Children's Museum, built in Ari's memory.
Ari, 16, was killed on the Brooklyn Bridge in 1994, when a gunman opened
fire on a group of Orthodox Jewish students.
"You're one of those people that really make a difference in this city, so
congratulations," Bloomberg told Ari's mother, Devorah, who championed
the creation of the museum.
The event was one of the rare times that Clinton and Giuliani were in the
same place. The two exchanged pleasantries before and after the
ceremony.
